Sanja Matsuri: One of Japan’s Wildest Festivals

One of the biggest festivals in Tokyo will be held from May 13 to 15, 2016, for three days of craziness. Held for the first time in 1312, the Sanja Matsuri (三社祭) celebrates the three men who established and founded the Asakusa Sensoji Temple, and attracts nearly two million spectators each year.
