When Werner Herzog Walked From Munich to Paris in the Dead of Winter

In the dead of winter, 1974, the director hiked from Munich to a friend’s deathbed in Paris. Herzog’s private diary of his journey (or at least what he claims as one; we have only his word to go on) was first published four years later on. Titled Of Walking in Ice, it’s now being reissued by the University of Minnesota Press.
