Unmapping the End of the World: is art a time machine?

The Unmapping the End of the World project took 14 artists from around the world to the ancient sites of Lake Mungo in NSW, the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route in Japan and the Valcamonica glacial valley in northern Italy. The trip challenged notions of art and even time itself, writes Daniel Browning.
