Tracking changes to China’s northeast coastline with false-color Landsat imagery

NASA and USGS’s Landsat satellites captured dramatic changes in China’s coastline at the mouth of the Yellow River from 1979 through 2015. This reshaping of the landscape is a result of modifications to the flow and sediment supply of the Yellow River, as well as extensive engineering efforts to control flooding and protect coastal development.
